Storage Terms & Conditions

1. Storage Services
Loburn Storage provides secure container storage and hardstand storage facilities for personal, commercial, and vehicle storage purposes.

10 Foot Shipping Container $30 per week gst Included
20 Foot Shipping Container $45 per week gst Included
Hardstand Parking (9m × 3m) $20 per week gst Included
Storage fees are subject to change at the discretion of Loburn Storage Limited upon reasonable notice to customers.
 
2. Access Hours and Security
Customers may access the facility 7 days per week between 6:00am and 10:00pm only.
Facility access is controlled by swipe card entry through an electric security gate.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers are responsible for supplying and maintaining their own padlocks for container storage.
Customers are solely responsible for the security of their own locks, keys, access devices, and stored property.
 
3. Payments and Bonds
All storage fees must be paid monthly in advance by automatic payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
A bond equivalent to two (2) weeks’ storage fees must be paid prior to commencement of storage.
A refundable swipe card bond of NZD $60.00 is payable at the commencement of this Agreement.
The swipe card bond will be refunded once:

  • the swipe card has been returned in good working condition;

  • all outstanding amounts have been paid in full; and

  • the storage unit or site is left clean and undamaged.
     

4. Insurance
IMPORTANT: Loburn Storage Limited does not insure customer goods or property stored at the facility.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • household goods;

  • furniture;

  • vehicles;

  • trailers;

  • caravans;

  • campervans;

  • boats;

  • machinery;

  • tools;

  • commercial stock; and

  • personal belongings.

Customers are solely responsible for maintaining adequate insurance cover for all property stored at the facility.
All goods and property are stored entirely at the customer’s own risk.
 
5. Permitted Storage
The following items may be stored, subject to these Terms:

  • household goods and furniture;

  • business and commercial stock;

  • vehicles and cars;

  • boats and trailers;

  • caravans and campervans;

  • machinery, tools, and equipment.
     

6. Prohibited Goods
The following items must not be stored at the facility:

  • explosives or flammable materials;

  • illegal or stolen goods;

  • firearms or ammunition unless lawfully stored in accordance with New Zealand law;

  • perishable food items;

  • hazardous, toxic, or corrosive substances;

  • live animals;

  • waste materials;

  • plants;

  • any item which may create a nuisance, hazard, contamination, or safety risk.
     

7. Default and Disposal of Goods
If any storage fees remain unpaid for more than thirty (30) days, Loburn Storage Limited reserves the right to:

  • deny access to the facility;

  • restrict access to stored goods; and

  • commence debt recovery action.

Where amounts remain unpaid following written notice to the customer, Loburn Storage Limited may remove, dispose of, or sell stored goods in accordance with applicable New Zealand law to recover outstanding amounts and associated costs.
Any costs associated with debt recovery, disposal, cleaning, towing, or removal may be charged to the customer.
 
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loburn Storage Limited shall not be liable for:

  • theft or burglary;

  • fire;

  • flood;

  • storm or weather damage;

  • vermin or pests;

  • mould, mildew, rust, or condensation;

  • mechanical or electrical failure;

  • vandalism; or

  • any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss affecting stored property.

Customers acknowledge that all goods are stored entirely at their own risk.
 
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement by providing one (1) month’s written notice.
Upon termination, all goods and property must be removed from the facility and the storage area must be left clean and undamaged.
Any goods remaining after termination may be treated as abandoned property.
 
10. Owner Access
Loburn Storage Limited reserves the right to access storage areas:

  • in emergency situations;

  • where there is suspected breach of this Agreement;

  • for maintenance or safety purposes; or

  • where the customer is in default.

Where reasonably practicable, notice will be provided prior to access.
 
11. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
 
12. Privacy
Personal information collected by Loburn Storage Limited will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
Information may be collected, stored, and used for:

  • administration;

  • security monitoring;

  • operational purposes;

  • debt recovery; and

  • communication relating to the storage facility and customer account.
     

13. Health and Safety
Customers agree to comply with all health and safety requirements while on the facility premises, including any directions issued by Loburn Storage Limited under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Customers must take reasonable care to ensure their actions do not endanger themselves, other persons, or property.
 
FACILITY RULES

  • No smoking inside containers or near stored vehicles.

  • Customers must secure their own containers with suitable locks.

  • Access outside approved hours is prohibited.

  • The facility operates under CCTV surveillance.

  • Customers must keep storage areas clean and free from rubbish.

  • Dangerous goods are strictly prohibited.

  • Any damage to gates, fencing, or security systems must be reported immediately.

  • Vehicles stored on-site must be roadworthy unless otherwise approved in writing. 
     

CUSTOMER DECLARATION
By storing goods or property at the facility, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Storage Licence Agreement and any associated policies published by Loburn Storage.
